CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

address. Consecutive interpretation is involved when the interpreter is required to interpret after the speaker pauses between
sentences.
CUCHOTAGE
Whispered interpreting where only one or two people in the audience speak a different language. It is
a form of whispered simultaneous interpreting for which no interpreting equipment is required as the interpreter, who is positioned
right next to the listener, simply whispers to the listener precisely what the speaker is saying.
SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING
Simultaneous interpreting
using radio microphones and headsets. Simultaneous interpretation is involved when
the interpreter is required to interpret as the speaker keeps speaking. Mostly required in conferences and seminars.
LIAISON
Liaison interpreting between two or three people in conversation. Used to be done while introducing the mall group of people
to your company or during the guided tour through company’s plants and buildings.
TELEPHONE INTERPRETING
Telephone interpreting where
the caller speaks a different language to the recipient.
